Why it was recalled

A loss of exterior lights can reduce the visibility of the vehicle to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. Inoperative equipment can delay emergency response, increasing the risk of injury.

What was recalled

Hale Products Inc (Hale) is recalling certain Weldon UV800 Display Unit user interfaces, with part numbers 610-00060-080-51, 610-00060-080-50, 610-00060-081, and 610-00091. The display may stop responding to touch commands or fail to power on, preventing the activation of exterior emergency lights, fire fighting and other emergency equipment.

What to do

Hale will update the firmware and install a monitor system, free of charge. Hale is expected to notify the affected vehicle manufacturers May 17, 2026.
